Public Relations Assistant โ€“ Unpaid Internship

Provide administrative support for the marketing and public relations department.ยท Assists in writing, editing, proofreading, publishing, distributing and researching all correspondence, reports, advertising and other documents. Those candidates seeking internships for university credit are preferred.

  • Assists with inventory of public relations materials, such as press kits, photos, videos and brochures.
  • Track and update press clippings, photo library and brag books.
  • Update website press releases, packages and events. Monitor copy and updates on website.
  • Participate in efforts in support of entire administrative support team.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, graphic programs preferred.
  3. Writing, editing and proofreading ability. Understanding of AP style preferred.
    Applicant will be asked to present writing samples at the time of the interview.
  4. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  5. Relevant coursework taken during studies.

Sales Assistant โ€“ Unpaid Internship

Intern will have the opportunity to work with all members of the NCVB sales staff on a variety of tasks throughout their internship. Interns are required to work 8-15 hours per week, min of 4 hrs per day. To maximize the intern experience, interns are required to work for two quarters or one semester. The internship experience depends upon current projects and events the sales team is involved with. Projects and tasks cover a variety of areas including sales, research, creative writing and general administrative duties. A sampling of tasks/projects could include: Assisting with a bid process for future eventsAssisting Sales Managers with various sales tasks such as hotel leads,preparing for tradeshows.Working on special projects, events with VP of SalesAssisting with creative projects such as newsletters, and direct mailers.General office duties and special assignments. Perform research on sales prospects, competitors or other subjects as requested by the department.Place phone calls to industry partners and other organizations as follow up.

Multi-Cultural Relations Assistant โ€“ Unpaid Internship

Works directly with the Vice President of Sales and the multi-cultural initiative committee. 10-15 hours per week with a minimum of 4 hours per day Will be involved in special projects to include exchange of information with companies for special events and activities. Assisting with the creation of brochures and videos. Attend 1 committee meeting per month.
